It’s Good That the Destructive Left Is Worried

In American politics today, one side — what we call the “destructive Left” — is openly revolutionary, committed to replacing our way of life with a regime founded on the principles of wokeness. As the Trump administration’s fight against this enemy enters a difficult phase, Peachy Keenan offers some simple advice: whatever the people who hate you and your country say, assume the opposite is true.
Tariffs? Trade deficits? T-bills? If you’re like me, an English major wordcel who never paid attention to the world of international finance and isn’t about to start now, you have no idea what to make of the Trump tariffs, our trade imbalance, futures, the markets, and whether this will be, in the long run, bad or good for the country.
And by “country” I mean me and my friends and the people who voted for this. Will the whole thing backfire? Is a major recession looming? A great depression? Will this kill JD’s chances in 2028? Will I be sending my children to sell newspapers in the streets next week while I wait in a bread line? Don’t look at me for answers! I’m flying blind — and so are the rest of you. Nobody knows anything — yet.
Except for all the people who are, somehow, absolutely certain that increasing tariffs on trading partners is very, very bad. Okay, maybe? Are they right about this? How does someone without a degree in quantitative analysis or a show on CNBC know who to trust?
Luckily, there’s now hope for people like me. A way to know what to think with a simple-to-use tool. An X poster named “Schizo Freq” posted this month: “My stance with tariffs is basically Everyone I know who’s been wrong about literally everything for the last 10 years is SUPER pissed about them. So the ‘inverse retard’ indicator says it’s probably fine.”
The post got 54 thousand likes.
Good name. I’ve been using a theory like this to help me make sense of the world for a while now. It’s basically an extension of the “enemy of my enemy is my friend” theory of relationships. If my enemy hates someone or something, I’ll probably like it, whatever it is.
And if ALL my enemies, including some of the worst people in the world — the freaks and the communists and the Marxists and the progressive academics and Obama flunkies and far-left radicals — really, really hate someone or something, I almost certainly will love it. Why should I trust the judgment of people committed to destroying the American way of life, who have moved us closer to that end at every possible turn for as long as anyone can remember?
This theory has already proven 100% accurate on many occasions over the last five years. From the Covid lockdowns and mandates (“vaccines work!”) to the Ukraine war (“of course Ukraine can beat Russia”) to the insistence that Joe Biden was perfectly healthy and Kamala Harris was a competent politician who would easily beat Trump: relying on the “‘inverse retard’ indicator” always lets you come out a winner.
Last weekend, the usual suspects took to the streets to protest against President Trump and Elon Musk. The rallies were called “Hands Off.” The libs held up vague signs and gave vague, tepid answers to questions like “what are you protesting?” None of them knew. “Orange man still bad. Tesla man bad too.” Apparently they like fraud, they like waste, and they like corrupt NGOs that send billions of our dollars to foreign countries and illegal immigrants. They love trade deficits and the tons of cheap Chinese-made goods that destroyed the American middle class. They want the global system that rewards the top and the very bottom but impoverishes the middle to continue with no brakes.
Only a fascist wouldn’t like being 40 trillion dollars in debt! Only a tyrant who loves power would want to reduce unsustainable monthly deficits of trillions of dollars! The Left wants everything to be just like it was in the golden days of 2021: everyone safely strapped into Covid masks, schools closed, everyone (not) working at home, mass race riots, looting, giant wars breaking out in Europe and the Middle East, and money printers going brrrr all over.
But mostly they just like getting their checks from the infinite pile of money the regime is willing to pour into giant fake protests. This week’s display was funded by a hodgepodge of over 150 groups, including labor unions, abortion groups, environmentalists, LGBT groups, and more. Most I’ve never heard of. Some are too ridiculous sounding to be real. I’d bet that 90% of them are just brand new names tied to one very old name: George Soros.
I mean, here is the list I found on the Hands Off Wikipedia page. Do these sound like groups whose opinions you should trust? Brace yourself for an absolute tsunami of—well, you know:

Yikes. That is a heck of a lot of people who have “been wrong about literally everything for the last 10 years.” All of them absolutely hate President Trump and Elon Musk. They openly call for their deaths. And they all oppose tariffs!
That’s why I’m going long on Schizo Freq’s theory. We may be entering a bear market, but the futures contracts on these people being wrong about everything are going to skyrocket, and there’s no telling what the top is. I’m riding this candle all the way — our enemies have never been right, which means I can’t go wrong.
